Located in the wide valley between the Blue Ridge Mountains to the east and Clinch Mountain to the west (which is actually a 150-mile-long high ridge with peaks of more than 4,000 feet), Johnson City and eastern Tennessee have been exceptionally motorcycle friendly. The Southern Dozen can’t be conquered in one weekend.
